ふるさとの歌［11-01］

ウィスキーの故郷、キャンベルタウン

久しぶりのふるさとの歌です。
今回はスコットランド、グラスゴーの西に位置するキンタイヤ半島にあるキャンベルタウン（Campbeltown）です。

ここはウィスキーの産地として有名で、この曲は1960年代に作られました。
キャンベルタウンに湾のようにくびれた部分がありますが、これがキャンベルタウン湖（Loch）で、中にある小さな島がダヴァール（Davaar）島です。

ハリー・ローダー（Harry Lauder）の跡継ぎとも言われたアンディ・ステュワート（Andy Stewart）が歌っています。
歌詞は英語で、スコッツ（Scots）やゲール語（Gaelic）は殆ど使われていないため、歌詞そのものは難しくありませんが、リズムはパター（patter）と呼ばれるもので舌を噛みそうですし、スコットランド訛りも混じり、聞き取りにくいかもしれません。
しかし、この歌はそうやって歌うものであることも理解してください。
練習には実際の倍ぐらいの時間をかけてゆっくり発音し、だんだん速くしていくとよいでしょう。
